Meeting clients with warmth, compassion, and curiosity, I work with individuals and couples seeking to break out of patterns that are no longer serving them. My collaborative, client-centric approach acknowledges the unique context of the individual by tailoring treatment to specific needs. Experienced in helping clients navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse, I leverage client strengths while integrating elements of mindfulness and somatic awareness. Informed by both psychodynamic and attachment frameworks, we will work together to uncover how the past may be impacting the present and chart a course towards rediscovering a sense of innate wholeness.
While completing a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, I began my career as a mental health professional at a residential facility treating substance abuse and co-occurring mental health conditions. Facilitating group sessions and working with clients to develop distress tolerance skills, I had the privilege of witnessing the remarkable transformations of early recovery. Additionally, I trained as a psychotherapist at a community mental health clinic in Los Angeles, receiving extensive instruction in psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. While providing long-term therapy to clients, I also participated in the crisis intervention track, which focused on addressing suicidality and acute trauma.
My personal and professional experience has taught me that humans are capable of profound healing through connective therapeutic experiences. Seeking therapy is an act of courage. I am committed to honoring that bravery by co-creating a safe space to cultivate insight, self-compassion, and a greater sense of ease while weathering life’s challenges.
